Dear reader,
Most tourists, especially those who visit Bulgaria for the first time, have some expectations thanks to Internet guides, brochures and other information sources. They are quite informative and one can learn a lot about the country and the population, but one cannot gain an insight into the character of real Bulgarians. Like every other nation, we can boast rich traditions, culture and our own specific way of communication in real life. The purpose of this book is to help reveal the character of the Bulgarian, his beliefs, values and behaviour in different life situations. Starting from the strategic and windy place, where our country is located, the author goes on to describe our eating and drinking habits, our dances (don't forget about sex!), touches upon business making and bureaucracy and peaks his depiction with the envy as our national characteristic and energy source. And some tourist, being more curious, could be smoked by a heated pepper-roasting device or soaked with a fast-killing brandy from a fuming village cauldron. While lying on the beach or resting after skiing in the mountains, a tourist can savour the full-bloodedness of the Bulgarian character, their sense of humour and capacity to laugh at themselves by reading this book. The pleasure is doubled thanks also to the wonderful illustrations by one of the leading Bulgarian caricaturists Georgi Chalakov - Chalaka. Книги, подобни на "When Dealing with Bulgarians" |
